IOSN Community Training on FOSS
How can we promote FOSS if FOSS is free? How do we get the fuel needed to advance FOSS concepts?
Answer: IOSN Community Training
IOSN designated alumni are given training materials to offer to their local communities (school, NGOs, govt). A standard price is charged and part of the price is used to give something back to the participants (shirts, mouse pads, wristbands, etc).
Let's use this forum to discuss the specifics.

Free and/or open source software offers huge potential for this sector to reap the benefits of ICT without the high cost of software. Please join our group as we find ways to promote FOSS in the health sector. (Logo credits: Kit Sumabat for CETSEA)

Track 1 - Organizing Your Data Using F/OSS
Personal computing is all about storing your information. But with the vast information, in the form of data, you store in your computer, it gets harder to find and put to good use the data that you have. F/OSS tools can help you organize your data in such a way that information can easily be extracted from them, at zero licensing cost.
F/OSS tools will also open your mind about data compatibility and enhanced security, making it more competent than proprietary counterparts.
